Scott Kemp

I’m the owner and manager of Cinematic Solutions. Growing up in Alaska, I learned the art of being resourceful and making the most of every situation with a positive, can-do attitude. This outlook has enabled me to create multiple businesses over the last 34 years, including three software companies, an Amazon store selling high-end legos, a five-star fishing lodge in the Alaska Wilderness, and a video production business.

My love of photography and videography came from promoting my lodge in Alaska with videos and selling wildlife prints to summer tourists. Side note, my Alaska videos have been seen by 10 million + people.

I’ve been a proud Corvallis resident for 34 years, and a class of ’92 OSU alumni. I’m married to my beautiful wife Pansy Kemp and have three older children, Sarah, Adriana, and Megan. I love creating and completing projects. You can always find me in the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, boating, and flying model airplanes.

2 Truths and 1 Lie About Me

I have flown a jet airplane?

False

I have loved airplanes from early childhood and even planned on joining the Air Force to fly jets but my poor uncorrected eyesight dashed those dreams. I still get very jealous when I see the news reporters getting flights with the Blue Angles!

I have driven a train?

True

I have always been enamored with trains since my childhood, I have owned many HO model train sets. One day when I was walking through a train yard with my father when I was 12, a friendly conversation with a conductor led to taking a couple of Burlington Northern engines for a spin around the yard!

I was a captain of a boat?

True

While operating his fishing lodge in Alaska, I acquired my U.S.C.G. Captain’s license for 50-ton vessels. With this license, I was able to carry paying clients for tours and fishing trips on my 40ft catamaran.
